1% for the Planet

1% for the Planet was started by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies. They understand that profit and loss are directly linked to health of the Planet, and are concerned with the social and environmental impacts of industry. 1% for the Planet has helped to direct hundreds of millions of dollars to environmental nonprofits around the world.

Today, businesses and individuals continue to make the 1% for the Planet commitment, by contributing 1% of total annual sales to grassroots environmental groups, members of 1% for the Planet create a greater impact every year.

Since 2023, KimWig has pledged 1% of sales to the preservation and restoration of the natural environment. We've awarded over $14,000 in cash to domestic and international grassroots environmental groups making a difference in their local communities.

Through 1% for the Planet, we found an innovative and accessible way to support the environment and contribute to its preservation by connecting us with highly vetted environmental non-profit organizations.
